You must select an address from the dropdown — we need real satellite data, not a typed guess.

This uses Google's Solar API — the same real rooftop data our full roof check at /survey uses.

How this score is calculated

Sun hours per year comes directly from Google's Solar API for your specific rooftop — real satellite data, not a DC-wide average.

Usable roof area = the Solar API's max buildable array area for your roof, converted to square feet.

Max panels that fit = the largest panel configuration the Solar API found for your roof.

Representative system uses a mid-size panel configuration (not the max) at 450W/panel, with the Solar API's own annual production estimate for that configuration.

Some addresses aren't covered by satellite data yet. Real numbers — including shading, roof condition, and your actual usage — come from a free roof check at /survey.
